Sizing details
Beads are most commonly measured using the metric system. Measurements for the beads are detailed in the description. A USD dime measures 18mm in diameter(across). A USD quarter measures 24mm(almost an inch). So a 2mm bead is really tiny and much smaller than a 12mm(almost 1/2") bead.
Approximate(rounded off) size conversions:
3.2mm = 1/8 inch
4.75mm = 3/16 inch
6.3mm = 1/4 inch
9.5mm = 3/8 inch
12.7mm = 1/2 inch
15.9mm = 5/8 inch
19mm = 3/4 inch
22.2mm = 7/8 inch
25.4mm = 1 inch

About Gauges and Measurement Conversions
Gauge is abbreviated as ga or g. The higher the number the smaller the measurement. The most commonly used jewelry wire gauges are 18-24 gauge. If you are just starting out, those gauges are nice to have on hand. 24ga is smaller than the 18ga. Other gauges are used for jewelry too. Enchanting Beads stocks wire in gauges 10 through 34.
Some common conversions:
18ga ~ 1.149mm (0.04")
20ga ~ 0.812mm (0.03")
22ga ~ 0.644mm ( 0.025")
24ga ~ 0.511mm (0.02")
26ga ~ 0.455mm (0.016")
28ga ~ 0.321mm (0.013")
You can find more about choosing the right gauge wire on the Enchanting Beads blog here: http://www.enchantingbeads.com/blog/wire-gauges-and-those-pesky-numbers/
About Miyuki Bead Color Names and Numbers
Miyuki assigns color numbers to their beads, rather than color names. To match a color when purchasing from different retail companies, use the color number. Names are assigned by the packaging or retail companies and may not match from company to company. There still may be a color variance from batch to batch of beads.
Color Names and Labels
-While every effort is made to catch label changes, sometimes the color names changes or varies on the labels. The color number is correct however. Example: Size 11 beads color # 133, may be labeled as Topaz, Light Brown, Amber, Golden, Medium Topaz, Transparent Brown etc. The names can vary but the color number (133) remains the same for each.
Reading Miyuki Bead Labels
An example for understanding the numbers on the label: Size 11 color 133, will be listed as 11-133 on the title of product listing. On the bead label it will have 11-9133-TB. 11 stands for the size. 9 is used for computer work to assist in sorting spreadsheets. 133 is the Miyuki color number. TB stands for the packaging, which is a tube.
International shipping June 2021 Update
While we are still shipping to most countries, delivery times will be longer than usual. Possibly much longer. For some countries 2+ months is not unusual due to postal services transportation issues. Before shopping please be sure your country's postal systems and customs is still accepting international shipments.
I am using the USPS service alerts to make to check the country status before shipping.
https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/international/
Your country will have the most current information so it is advised you check your country's service alerts first.
